{"id":9263,"date":"2025-09-16T07:47:28","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T07:47:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/65.21.7.236\/s3da-design\/portfolio\/congregate-living-health-facility-in-inglewood-ca\/"},"modified":"2025-09-16T07:47:28","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T07:47:28","slug":"congregate-living-health-facility-in-inglewood-ca","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"http:\/\/65.21.7.236\/s3da-design\/portfolio\/congregate-living-health-facility-in-inglewood-ca\/","title":{"rendered":"Congregate Living Health Facility in Inglewood, CA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The clients&#8217; request was to provide full <a href=\"\/structural-engineering-services-california-us\/\">Structural package<\/a> for a 3-story building ( congregate living health facility ) based on the previous architect&#8217;s designs, and the client\u2019s new expectations.<br>The first challenge that we had to face was to implement an initial congruence of the designed elements, and the pre-estimated loads in coordination with the architect, and the client himself. That led us to grasp a deeper understanding of the clients\u2019 demands since the owner had some problems with some of the designed elements e.g. the number of posts in the basement etc.<br>The next challenge was to run the calculations in three steps each time trying to remove as much as the overdesigned elements, including the columns and apply the most cost-effective yet, structurally feasible and available material.<br>One of our advantages was the BIM solution (Building Information Modeling).
